I just thought I would quickly update my blog and wish everybody a happy new year. Highlights of this year are (in no particular order)

Turned 30.
Changed jobs.
My son started school.
Visited Windermere on a family holiday.
Started writing #! code.

Whatever you are doing in 2010 I wish you happiness and prosperity.

It’s been a bit of an odd year. As usual there have been ups and downs, and a few sideways movements. So I thought I would do my yearly blog post to round things off.

However, I’m not sure what else to say really.

Maybe I’ll think of something in the new year.

If anyone is reading this, then I wish you a happy and properous new year. By prosperous I mean both financially and in terms of happiness.

Double Me!

We are teaching Matthew the alphabet at the moment, and he is comming along nicely. Even though he is 3, he can count to 13 on his own (which is apparently very good) and is getting there with the alphabet. Although he isn’t able to recite it much, he can spot the letters and tell us what they are.

Apart from two letters that is. These letters are W and U.

When I say U he repeats back “me!” and when I say W, which I pronounce as “double-u” that is exactly what he hears and repeats back “double me!”.

How on earth do you get through to a 3 year old that it isn’t double you, but two letter U’s put together? I’m sure he will work it out eventually!

Well another year is up, in a couple of hours anyway so it´s time to look at the things I have done this year.

Sold a house in Aberystwyth next to some terrible neighbours and moved into a little cottage in Llanon to rent it.
Matthew started walking.
Dad gave me his Skoda Octavia.
Attended Ian and Debbies wedding.
Crashed the Octavia into a curb.
Spent buckets of money on the Octavia
Got a new job.
Moved house to Cheshire to be near new job.
Spent more money on the Octavia.

Not exactly a big list, but I have worked hard in all aspects of my life. With the cars and the move being a big drain on the money we havn´t had much to spend on other things.

So what is in store for the next year? One word, “Stuff”. I don´t tend to dwell much on future events, I am more of a here and now sort of person. If you are reading this then good luck with the next year.
